• Use Tunnel/Geotechnical design software such as: Plaxis, FLAC, MIDAS and SAP is highly desirable
• Have proven experience preparing designs and be able to write technical reports
• Demonstrable experience in the design of work packages in the tunnelling sector. Ideally this should cover a wide range of sectors with some experience in several or of the following areas: Metro, Highway, Heavy Rail, Utility and Conveyance is highly desirable
• Be motivated to deliver high quality and mentor less experienced staff
• Knowledge of relevant European codes and standards

• Master in relevant accredited engineering degree 
• Chartered Engineer of an appropriate professional body is highly desirable
• Relevant experience gained within a design office particularly in the field of Tunnel/Geotechnical design, analysis, assessment, inspection and reports
• Good presentation skills
• Well organized and team player but with an ability to work independently when required 
• Very good command of English
